Jim Harbaugh to the Niners? Yeah, that’s what we said too. That’s why Kate and Nick are talking the Harbaugh surprise, recapping the first weekend of the NFL Playoffs, discussing Nnamdi Asomugha’s free agency, and catching up with the Sharks and the Warriors. Then it’s an NCAA basketball update and a preview of tonight’s BCS National Championship game. So, what are you waiting for?

And don’t forget, we want to hear from you! Regardless of how tonight’s game turns out, we’d love to get some Oregon and Auburn fans on Friday’s show. All you have to do is call the TWSS hotline and leave us a message. If we like what we hear, we’ll edit it into our show! And don’t worry, we promise to make you look good. Reaaaal good. 415-413-7316. Holler.

Or at the very least, cheer for Stanford offensive lineman, Andrew Phillips. Why? Because Phillips lost his father in a plane crash over the summer and instead of sitting out the year, the young man and his teammates have used the heartbreak as motivation for the 2010 season.

I’m sure the Cardinal faithful is well aware of Phillips’ story by now, but as a Bear, I hadn’t heard about the tragedy until opening this week’s Sports Illustrated. For those of you also in the dark, click here and consider yourself warned. I needed tissues.

To the Cal fans sure to give me shit for even considering rooting for our rival, let alone telling others to do so, bring it on. Come January 3, 2011, even though I won’t be at the Orange Bowl, I’ll be screaming for the Cardinal through my tv. Because if anyone deserves the cheers, even though it’s just for a day, that young man is Andrew Phillips.

That’s according to the Touchdown Club, who honored the Stanford coach with the 2010 Woody Hayes Award, given annually to the best coach in the nation. Past recipients of the Woody Hayes Award include Joe Paterno, Lou Holtz, Urban Meyer, Bob Stoops, and Bo Schembechler.

Even as a Cal fan, I’ve got to agree with this pick. In just his fourth year at the helm, Harbaugh has his boys playing in a BCS Bowl and if he ends up passing on the hundreds of coaching jobs surely waiting for him as I type, the sky’s the limit for the Cardinal in 2011.

Happy Monday, friends! Kate and Nick are stoked. The Raiders upset the Bolts! In other news, the Niners fell to the Pack, the Lions got screwed again and no surprise here, Nick has a man crush on Tom Brady. The duo also talks off-season baseball moves, college bowl games, and the Warriors and Sharks lackluster starts. That’s all ahead on today’s edition of That’s What She Said!

Welcome back from the holiday! You get enough to eat? Kate Scott & Nick Winkler sure did and they’re talking baseball: The Giants get paid while Juan Uribe looks to leave town. Then it’s Stanford’s success, Cal’s heartbreaking loss, and a BCS breakdown. The Raiders may have lost on Sunday, but the Vikes, Bills, and Cortland Finnegan sure made for good gossip. Scotty & The Wink then preview the Monday Night NFC West showdown between the Niners and the Cardinals, getcha up to date on the Sharks and Warriors, and even talk a little NCAA round ball. That’s all ahead on today’s edition of That’s What She Said!
